when you hurt someone, and you say “it’s not that big of a deal” you are dismissing whatever it is that they are feeling and discarding their pain. just because something isn’t a big deal to you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t effect the other person. the worst thing you can do is rob someone of their right to feel.
